Sales Associate (Seasonal – Part Time)

At a Glance: Beginning mid-November, we have availability for a casual, part time Seasonal Sales Associate position. This role offers approximately 5-11 hours per week, with the potential for continued part-time employment in the New Year.
The Details: As the first point of contact for customers, this role involves providing exceptional customer service as well as help behind the scenes receiving, pricing, and stocking items. Additionally, you will help keep the shop clean and organized.
Our team works closely together to ensure the shop runs smoothly, from taking out the trash to grabbing the door for a customer, to mopping the floor, we all chip in to ensure the work gets done. As part of this team, we are looking for someone who not only compliments our current team and can take direction, but can also work well independently and take the initiative to recognize when something needs doing without being asked.
At Far + Wide we focus on handpicked beautiful, and often local, items for your home. We care about the products we stock and our customers do too; we are looking for someone who shares this passion for aesthetic, community, and small business.
What We Are Looking For: This role requires a friendly, outgoing, and approachable demeanor as well as the desire to go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. Strong interpersonal skills, organization, and attention to detail are key. Previous retail experience and experience working with or caring for houseplants is an asset. Currently we are looking for weekend availability as well as occasional support throughout the week. Please note your availability in your application.
